Overview

Gifmoji is a free, browser-based tool for creating animated emoji. This policy explains what data is and isn't collected when you use gifmoji.io.

Your photos

Photos you choose in Gifmoji are processed entirely inside your web browser. Cropping, animation, background removal and GIF encoding all run on your device. Your photos and the emoji you create are never uploaded to our servers or to anyone else, and they are discarded when you close or reload the page.

When you first turn on background removal, your browser downloads the AI model files it needs from IMG.LY's content delivery network (staticimgly.com). Only the model files are downloaded; your photo is not sent.

Accounts and personal information

Gifmoji has no accounts, logins or sign-up forms, and we do not ask for your name, email address or other personal information.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand how many people visit the site and how fast pages load. These tools collect aggregated, anonymous usage data (such as pages viewed, referrer, country and device type) and do not use cookies.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Cookies

Gifmoji itself does not set cookies. Advertising partners such as Google may set cookies as described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, Vercel processes standard request information (such as IP address and browser user agent) to deliver pages and protect against abuse.

Children

Gifmoji is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
